About Saxony

Saxony is a charming gated townhome community in Encinitas, California. Residents enjoy beautiful sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean.

The Saxony neighborhood was built in 1999 and homes here have attached garages, outdoor decks, and high ceilings. Floor plans offer two to three bedrooms and 929 to 1,300 square feet in living space. There are low Home Owners Association dues which cover the community swimming pool, barbecue, spa, and dog park.

This community is served by the Encinitas Union School District and the San Dieguito Union High School District with highly ranked facilities like Capri Elementary School, Diegueno Middle School, and La Costa Canyon High School. There are several private faculties such as The Rhoades School, Lighthouse Christian School, and Encinitas Country Day School. And nearby colleges include MiraCosta College and the California Institute for Human Science.

Residents are close to the Moonlight Beach which is one of the more popular beaches in the city. Many visitors come here for swimming, surfing, beach volleyball, bon fires, and surf fishing. This state beach is located a little past where B Street goes across Highway 101. Residents are also close to the historic downtown area of Encinitas which offers shops, restaurants, and sidewalk cafes. At one time this corridor was Highway 101 and connected Los Angeles and San Diego.

Sandalwood is also adjacent to the Magdalena Family Ecke YMCA and sports park which has recreational activities and services for all ages. The freeways will take you to many stores and restaurants. To the North you will find the Encinitas Golf Course which is considered to be one of San Diego County’s top courses.

Encinitas is known for growing ornamental flowers which is its main industry. It is located 95 miles from Los Angeles and 25 miles from San Diego. Notable points of interest include the San Dieguito Heritage Museum, the San Diego Botanic Garden, and The Lux Art Institute.
